I would like to see a Technician Hours by Service Category Report in a detail and summary format. Right now all of the existing reports are by dollars. I would like these reports to include the dollars as well, but the labor hours are what would provide another level of analysis.

The purpose of this report would be several fold. One is to measure specifically how your techs are spending their time, which is important for apprentice hours and also in wage discussions.

It would be useful in evaluating proficiency/productivity for techs in specific areas and help establish training and efficiency goals in that area. They might be rock stars on brakes, but might be struggling on steering and suspension or diagnostics.
