The scheduler needs to be updated as a more vital part of the system. You should be able to book by bays, and work drops into a general pool for your technicians to pull from, not to an individual. Your should be able to double click on the bay/technician and book that spot and auto assign. You should be able to book off technicians for re-occuring days if it stays in technician mode. You should be able to set it to open in technician mode all the time, and it should auto update to prevent double bookings. When clicking into an appointment the note should auto drop into the work order as customer concern to allow for quick print. I don't really understand how shops efficently book to fill there days with out using the schedule in tech mode and day mode. Our booked jobs rarely end up with the tech they are booked under, we move jobs to next available tech, when we try to go digital this wo management this will be a big challenge. You should be able to have techs that you can assign work too but are not part of the schedule, we have cross trained staff that work from counter-shop depending on work load... we dont book jobs for them, but it would be nice to be able to assign jobs so we know in the future who did the job.

I agree there is some key functionality missing in the scheduler. We have built lots of process to account for the functionality. Bill Marr reach out to me if you want to discuss how we do this.

Doug Brackett thanks for reaching out, I would like to see what you guys have, we have alreadly built some work arounds, but it isnt super efficent. we are missing proper tech assignment as it doesnt allow me to change it once we have it converted to a work order. With our old system I was able to run the shop with 1.5 advisors, 8 bays, doing 2.4mil, I am having a hard time keeping up with this system, partly due to the schedule... email garrisonautoservice@hotmail.com maybe we can do a meeting online or phone call, 905-871-1816

I very much dislike this scheduler.. I miss LanKar & StockTrac schedulers, they worked way better than this pile.
It would me a million times better if the Prioritization screen and Scheduler were merged, id love to see colums of Bays, or even if the Technician View allowed you to just double click a space and book a job and it would tentatively assign the tech automatically, without having to select the tech from the dropdown, even that would help.. but we have more desire to book by the Bays vs the Techs, as the Bays dictate what type of job or vehicle can come in that day..
when I used LanKar in the past at a different shop, it was so easy to arrange the scheduler exactly how we wanted it.

Jeremy Bons thanks for supporting this, I ve asked my rep to meet with a developer to work on this. We we're stock trac customers, or ability to effectively book to capacity is severely impacted by not having a good schedule. It should be by bay, where techs can assign jobs to themselves through a pool of jobs. Hopefully we get lots of votes and the schedule becomes a priortiy. I think prob a lot of shops would see a significant benefit from a better schedule.

Bill Marr we would love any schedule improvements. It would be amazing too if each technician column had an hour counter instead of just a pool of hours. Tech A puts out 13 hours per day, were Tech B only does 8, Tech C is 10 hours. If there was a counter of booked hours per tech per day it would allow us to maximize each technician
