At present, when a message is sent to the Service Advisor, a pop-up box appears on the Service Advisor’s screen. In many cases, this pop-up is in the way and is closed or dismissed. Once that happens, there is no clear indication within the work order that an unread message still exists.

My request is to have the Message icon in the top ribbon inside the work order provide a persistent visual notification when there is an unread message. For example, the icon could change colour, display a caution symbol, or show another clear unread-message indicator. This notification should remain visible until the Service Advisor clicks on the Message icon and views the message.

This would help ensure that messages sent to the Service Advisor are not missed when completing or closing out a work order.
