This would be great in the RV sector. Many of are parts can be oem, manf suggested or off brand. and no 2 customers will pick same option.

YESSSS!! It also skews our Deferred Work totals. The ability to categorize into Good-Better-Best options could help this make more sense. The vehicle doesn't ACTUALLY need $5000 worth of repairs; that's the total of all the options they could choose from... but we still need a record of the options we offered to the customer - especially if they don't buy today. OR (love this one) if they authorize one repair and call back to select a different option after we've deleted the packages they didn't choose!

Good idea, I agree.

Tires might be the only place where this applies....depending on your shop. There has been research that people will almost always pick the middle option of three choices. So, if you want a less expensive option for the customer quote that or just charge less. Giving the customer the option on how best to fix their car is not a great idea. "The brands and types of parts we use have taken us a long time to gather. Through years of trial and error we have found the best parts that will keep your car from having issues with the work that we do. We want to see you back, just not for the same problem."
Gerald Martin
Absolutely agree with this. Partstech new tire catalog offers this but you have to pay an extra fee to unlock the feature. But it's a beautiful proof of concept for tires, which is a normal situation where this arises.
At present, there seems to be no good way to print multiple tire packages from deferred work while keeping the associated fees, taxes, etc confined to each package...Even Mitchell had its multiple SubEst fields that allowed for this use case.
I hope this request picks up steam as it addresses one of the weaker points in Protractor.
