Enterprise Dashboard - “Total” sales should not include Sales Tax!
Jodi Knepper
We’ve set up a nice Dashboard in Enterprise to view side-by-side performance for all 3 of our locations. But there’s a problem: The sales number is inaccurate and does not match the Dashboards we’re have set up at Location level.
The column chooser does not give the option to select “Total Sales before Tax.” It’s not great for our upper-level management team to think our stores actually performed better than they did bc the ENT Dashboard is reporting Tax as part of Sales!

I have similar issues with some reports in Enterprise. We ended up writing a calculated column that got us what we're looking for.
Something labeled "Total Sales w/fees no tax", and the formula was:
Labor Total + Parts Total + Sublet Total + Other fee 1 (shop supplies).
In enterprise, you cannot separate other charges like you can at the location level. Fortunately for us, our second 'other charge' is a state tire tax, which is a pretty low amount- so we just deal with it.
The other option would be to remove other charges from the equation, but we wanted that in there since it is part of the entire sales picture.
If you haven't tried a calculated column, give it a shot! There are some quirks (like running the report twice to verify errors), but support has been helpful in resolving those.

Agreed! Besides the fact that we need an easy, segregated tabulation of "sales tax", it is not technically, accurately "sales" totals ! I don't think there is any other way, to use the a filter, to further refine the report, either? I also would like to be able to "filter" the sales report to not include "shipping/freight" charges as sales?
