allowing 1-2 day follow up messages to automatically go out through protractor messaging

It would be great if we could have a setting to allow a message to be sent to clients 1-2 days after an invoice is closed to follow up on the service(s) they had done. Right now we have to have a second messaging service outside of protractor to be able to accomplish this. It would be nice to have everything on 1 messaging service to keep it organized & lower our operating costs. During tire season we can't always guarentee we would be able to message all previous clients manually & having something in protractor touch base automatically would speed up our process & save us money.

As Shane mentioned, our existing CRM service can do this via email. Texting will be added eventually and there is already a request for it, so I am going to merge this post with the existing request.

Texting is the best way to get a quick response. I would love it if protractor would do this!

It is part of the CRM program that sends a "Thank You" email after service, you can choose 1 day, 2 days, etc.

And update on a time frame for this? We are waiting for it so we can use the Protractor texting.

I currently use the texting within protractor to communicate quickly with the customer. We can also text through AV. AV does a good job with CRM. The best thing to do would be to merge with AV and make them the same system. It would be the best of everything..

so, we currently have text with Kukui marketing and AS1. Who goes if you can make it work? Will it be tied in with payment360? So far, not impressed with the bolt on frakensms that Protractor is becoming.
Darren Williams
Bill Adams: This would take our existing CRM platform capability that is email and postcard only, and extend the same options to texting.
Our CRM is more traditional in that it's focused on retention, whereas Kukui is retention as well as proactive marketing.
Our texting is already tied in with 360payments. Both utilize SwiftSMS if you have Text2Pay.

Darren Williams: So, stay tuned, or continue using AS1 for payment and text processing?

Darren Williams: Any updates on timeline for this?
Darren Williams
wayne wright: Not yet. It's dependent on another large project to move forward first related to the AWS environment.

Darren Williams: How ‘in progress’ is this item? A month, year, longer?
Darren Williams
True Auto Care Admin: There isn't an exact date on it yet. CRM texting is broad - there are several systems that it interacts with that have to be updated as well. It will be more than a month but definitely not a year. Hoping later Q2. When we have a commit date I will update the thread.
