Can we have a date input parameter feature in the 'accounts payable/receivable aged' report

My accountant needs an aged receivable/payable listing that balances to the General Ledger. If I run the report after the year-end date, the reports don't line up. Can we have a date "as of" or something like that in these reports?

I've been asking for this feature for over 9 years. Every year, I have to deal with our accountant who wants an 'updated' list of year end AP and AR, and there's nothing I can do, other than manually balance things, which is a huge waste of time. I've pretty much given up that this will ever happen.
