tough one. We use the category option to use different colors for the service advisors. The flag colors can also be labelled with letters like "W" for waiter etc.

Yes, I used the "Category" box and have colours assigned to different jobs. Pink - Oil Change, Green - CVIP, Purple - Brakes. This way at a quick glance I can see what the day holds.

I use the "Flags" (the little squares) for things like if the customer needs a ride or a courtesy car, waiting in the office, if they are a new customer or if the appointment has a tire swap scheduled.

The whole appt block gets coloured for various categories that we set up..
