This is live in version 18310. If you don't see this version in the bottom right corner of Protractor, please restart your database or contact support for more help.
Please note: 
Work Order Templates do not currently bring over Contacts and vehicles when used on an Estimate in this manner.
Use the ‘Reassign To’ button in the top right of the Estimate Ribbon to choose a Contact and Vehicle

To make this request even better, ANYWHERE there is the option to create a WO, there needs to be the option to create an estimate. That would make this program more consistent. 
Additionally, the ability to see created estimates needs to be included in the Customer and Vehicle cards (see screenshot for Vehicle card example).
Can these additions be added to this planned feature so it is as robust and comprehensive as possible right out of the gate?

Currently you have to create an estimate, then reassign to a contact/vehicle. It seems counterintuitive to not be able to create from the contact screen, as you would a work order.

Would be nice to create an appointment from contacts as well.

Totally agree. Additionally any template you create as an Estimate, should work as an Estimate, not a work order or at least give you a choice to use it either way.
